    Bluegrass Jelly

    Bluegrass Jelly

As of February 2020, we've moved from Armando's to Roxx while Armando's finds a new home. But it's still on the 4th Wednesday of the of the month, from 7 to 9pm. The house band is still: Rick Horlick on mandolin, Lynne Quinones on guitar, Alan Bond on fiddle, Jonathan Bluemel on banjo and Bruce Campbell on bass.

It's simple - it's not a jam, per se (It's a jelly!).  Basically, it's a bluegrass open mic - come on down, sign up (there's no charge) and you'll have a chance to play three songs, backed up by as much of the house band as you'd like.  While waiting for you turn, enjoy some fine food and drink (that's NOT free, however). It's a win-win!

    Duo Gadjo

    Duo Gadjo

Duo Gadjo’s music is largely inspired by the sounds of the 20's and 30's, when jazz was the new thing and Paris was the place to be.

Their style is often called ‘Gypsy Jazz’ as pioneered by the great guitarist Django Reinhardt who created this new genre by infusing the American art form with his French, and Gypsy influences.

Duo Gadjo’s repertoire, featuring #IsabelleFontaine on vocals and #JeffMagidson on guitar includes many French classics as sung by Edith Piaf, Charles Trenet, Yves Montand and others, as well as standards from the Great American songbook.

Their distinctive French Cafe sound emanates from their Gypsy guitars, with the addition of the melodica.

    The Diablo Rhythm Wranglers

    The Diablo Rhythm Wranglers

The Diablo Rhythm Wranglers have staked a claim to one of those corners of musical genres that you don't see many bands occupy: Western Swing and Cowboy music.  And they do with a fairly sparse lineup - don't expect a big crowd onstage with these folks. Their song selection is highly varied, from luminaries such as Bob Wills, Johnny Cash and Hank Williams to some more obscure ditties from the likes of Cindy Walker.
